Governors
The Governing Body's main aim is to support the school in raising standards of achievement and making sure the school provides good value and a good quality education.
The day-to-day management of the school is the responsibility of the Head Teacher. Governors support the Head in helping to shape the school's future direction and focus.
Governors work as a team. Individual Governors have no power or responsibility - it is only the full Governing Body which has legal duties and powers and all Governors share in that corporate responsibility.
Governors are governed by an Instrument of Government which can be viewed here.
Governors meet 5 to 6 times a year. Meetings take place at a time and date agreeable to the majority of governors and last 1-2 hours. Additionally, we have 2 sub-committees which meet an additional 4 to 5 times a year:
1. Ethos and Worship Committee and
2. Resources Committee.
