Phonics and Reading Breakfast for parents...

Reception teachers held a Phonics and Reading Breakfast for Reception children and their parents.  It was really well attended and we hope parents enjoyed it and found it useful.  Here is the PowerPoint that teachers used and the brochure handed out to parents.

EY children have been enjoying visits to Bexhill Library to enjoy reading books and to find out how the library works...

EY children enjoyed a lovely Christmas dinner...

EY and Year 1 children enjoyed a visit from a theatre company. The children joined the actors in re-telling traditional tales...

EY children really enjoyed learning how to be mini-first aiders...

As part of their learning about People Who Help Us, EY children thoroughly enjoyed a visit from the police, who showed the children their police van, their uniforms and talked about how to be safe crossing the road. The children particularly enjoyed being allowed to try on the police uniforms and to go in the 'mini-prison’ in the back of the police van!!

EY children also enjoyed a visit from the fire service. They learned all about the fire engine and the equipment on it...

EY children enjoyed a special '999 Day' to celebrate all of their learning about people who look after us...

EY children had a wonderful time during World Book Day adding themselves to their favourite book covers...
