Welcome to our School Council Web Page
Our School Council is set up to involve children in the decisions made in our school to make it an even better place to be. Our School Council is made up of one representative from each class in Year 1 to Year 6. These Councillors are voted for by their classmates at the start of each school year.
The Year 6 Councillors act as Chair and Secretary and the Deputy Head Teacher and one of our Governors attends each School Council Meeting. All of the councillors have a folder to keep their minutes and action plans and their notes to take back to their classes.
Once Councillors have been elected they have to liaise between their own classes and report back to the full School Council. Suggestions and ideas are discussed and then the Council decides which items should be written into the School Council Action Plan.
The School Council meets regularly to discuss the progress of their Action Plan.
REMEMBER... children of St Peter and St Paul Primary School this is your School Council, where your voice is heard!

School Council Visit the Town Hall
Representatives from our School Council and Eco Warriors visited Bexhill Town Hall. They were greeted by Cllr Bayliss and Cllr McCourt who were able to answer questions about how the local council is run and the priorities for Bexhill. The children were particularly keen to ask questions about Edgerton Park, pollution in the sea and charging for electric cars.
School Council meet local MP, Huw Merriman
Mr Merriman, our Bexhill MP, visited school to speak with our School Council about his job and responsibilities. The children were also able to ask questions and focused these on the priorities for Bexhill and the challenges of being an MP. Huw told the children about the challenges Bexhill faces with a shortage of local housing and sewage pollution in the sea, and how he is campaigning for these aspects.
